Official transcripts

Applicants must submit their final transcript, which includes your final semester's marks and evidence that you have completed your degree. If you have completed studies from a number of post-secondary institutions, you will need to submit a final transcript from each institution at which you studied.

Your university can e-mail your final transcript directly to ivco@iums.ac.ir or you can mail your transcript directly to Office of Vice-Chancellor for International affairs, Iran University of Medical Sciences, Hemmat Highway, Tehran, Iran, as long as it remains in its sealed envelope.

 

Grade Point Average

We use GPA (Grade Point Average) measurement system. The minimum acceptable high school diploma GPA for applicants to IUMS is 3.00.

English language proficiency

All applicants whose first language is not English will be required to provide satisfactory evidence of their proficiency in English. You can use the English language tests in the table below to meet the University’s English language requirements. You must satisfy the requirements in one sitting and results are valid for two years from the date on the test certificate.

Recommendation Letter

A Letter of recommendation highlights your academic and/or professional achievements. In this letter, we want to know about your learning and research abilities, communication skills, leadership, compassion for others, reliability, work ethics, adaptation skills, and creativity.  A well written letter gives the Admissions Committee detailed information about the person you are and the professional person you will grow into.

 Ask deans, former professors, teachers, and/or supervisors to write you a Letter of Recommendation. Your Letter of Recommendation must be addressed to IUMS. Students can ask their recommenders to complete IUMS recommendation form.

 

Motivational letter

IUMS is interested in knowing as much as possible about you. You can write between 1000 and 1500 words about your reasons for choosing IUMS for further study, your activities and responsibilities at home, school, or in your community and your future job or career plans.

 

Résumé or C.V

Every applicant is required to submit a resume. A resume, or curriculum vitae, documents a summary of his/her educational credentials, prior work experience, publications, honors and received awards.

 

Photos

You must supply 4 recent color photos of yourself (3 x 4 cm in size) , that is taken in front of a plain white  background, full-face view directly facing the camera.

 

Tuition

You can use the following amounts as a general indication of the tuition fees to be paid for one academic year.All prices are in United States Dollars. Prices are likely to rise each academic year, and are subject to change.
